- Tip #1: why?
- Tip #2: consider video as a marketing tool to meet students where they are.
- Tip #3: find your inspiration (showed another video ad, common craft) wanted to incorporate humor and students
- Tip #4: collaborate (they did with the faculty technology group)
- Tip #5: plan it: storyboard, write scripts, find props and actors
- Tip #6: film it (recommends getting really familiar with the camera)
- Tip #7: edit it (they use Final Cut Pro) Editing can fill the time you allow, so they blocked off time to complete it.
- Tip #8: spread the word: facebook, show in classes, youtube, library page, etc. still exploring this
- Tip #9: assess it. using a zoomerang survey to see if people can name the branch libraries.
- Tip #10: keep building: learning a lot, don’t want to lose those skills. also built audio ad for campus radio commercial
