It’s been busy, and I’ve not had many opportunities to liveblog.
Last night I had a nice dinner and met several fun people. Then Jenny (my roommate) and I swung by the Emerging Leaders reception. I was hoping to go to the Facebook meetup, but 11:00 is very late for an east coaster!
This morning I went to the Alexander Street Press breakfast with a live performance of a scene from Top Secret: The Battle for the Pentagon Papers performed by actors from the L.A. Theatre Works, followed by our guest speaker, Daniel Ellsberg. Morning was really nice, and Ellsberg was really engaging. Great session!
Afterwards, I headed to the Women’s Studies Section all committees meeting. I’m involved with the Instruction Committee. It was good to see the Women’s Studies Librarians and connect. We’re working on some interesting project: reworking the info lit standards for WGS and on writing a position paper on virtual participation as a feminist issue. We’re working on a survey now.
After that I headed to the convention center for the COSWL program. I’m live blogging that now, and watching the Top Tech Trends Meebo chat room.
