		<description>Thanks for your comments. I agree, there are some things in the basic LIS curriculum that need to change... starting with more emphasis on tech. I&#039;d love to see more courses about how to evaluate new technology in light of a specific community, for one!</description>

As regards to the importance of our profession - I am quite sure that its diminishing - how many knowledge or information management panels do have librarians as members? Are curicula has to change - include more techie items .... LIS teachers have a bigger role to play to keep our &quot;so called profession&quot; afloat.</description>
