As you might have noticed, I’ve been away for a few days. I’m back in my hometown because my dad needed some surgery. (He’s doing well now!) This time away from work has given me time to reflect on family, my own diet, exercise, & lack thereof, and has given me time to read and think about what I’m reading.
So, I’ve been plowing through all the professional publications that come to my mail box because of various memberships, and I’m catching up on projects that don’t require too much internet. (Though the hospital had fabulous free internet in the surgical waiting room, they don’t offer it in patients’ rooms.)
Because of the surprise change in schedule, I’m not going to be able to present in Second Life tomorrow as I had hoped. If anyone is going to participate in the Virtual Worlds conference and plans on blogging it, will you leave a comment with a link below? I’d love to hear how it goes.
I’ve also gotten some good news on a few publications. I’ve heard back about my first peer-reviewed article. With some minor revisions, it’ll be ready for publication!
So, that’s the update. I’ll be posting on a more regular schedule once I’m on a more regular schedule!

Lauren, I am so glad everything went well with your dad! I’m trying to make an effort to improve my diet and level of exercise myself.

i’m playing with CoverItLive and live-blogging some of the sessions in SL. i’ll archive them to my site too – but if you’re online and want to check it out the live-blogging will start back up at 4pmSL.
