Let me start by saying that I love my iPhone. I love iTunes. And I’ve pretty much stopped buying physical CDs–I just buy mp3s instead. When the iPhone got an iTunes interface I was worried all my spare money would go there. (Luckily, I’ve been stronger than I thought I would be.) All of this lovely experience was tarnished when one of the songs I bought on iTunes disappeared once I synced my iPhone. I gave up on that song… Apple is notorious for saying one download per purchase, so I assumed it was gone. Flash forward a few weeks and a few new songs I had gotten didn’t get synced either & was no where to be found on my Mac or iPhone. I figured we were starting to talk about real money, so Sunday night I emailed Apple. Today, I have my songs.
The message I got said, “I’m sorry to hear that when you synced your iPhone with your computer some of your purchases were lost. I have posted the missing item to your account.” followed by (somewhat oversimplified) steps to get the songs back. Talk about good customer service! Best part? The signature: “Have a Super Day!”
