ncsu fieldtrip

(Notice the glass reference desk, the lack of sign, and the gigantic monitors above the desk….)

MPOW took a field trip on Friday to my hometown and alma mater: NCSU. We went to check out the new learning commons and see what’s going on down the road. It was a really good trip! MPOW has recently been through a year of strategic planning, so we’ve developed a particular interested in what’s cutting edge. The Learning Commons certainly is one interpretation of all that’s going on with the cutting edge. It was a good time, nice to get out, we got several ideas, met some colleagues at another local institution, and got to know each other better. I’d say it was a resounding success. But now…. there’s a day’s of work to catch up on!
