first year students

Yes! Yes! Yes! ACRLog posted about an article in the Chronicle (you have to subscribe to read it) dealing with libraries in the first year experience.

“Betsy Barefoot, senior scholar at the Policy Center on the First Year of College, argues in the Chronicle that for many first year students becoming comfortable in the library is a step toward being comfortable with college and its demands.”

I got really into working with first year students in residence life, and I’m excited to see it branch out here.
